A close portrait of a silverback in three-quarter view, the entire face and coat resolved into thousands of ink-outlined ripples in amber, ochre, gold and bone white against near-black. The eyes and nostrils are left as flat black voids, so all the movement in the surface collects around a completely still gaze.
