Stroker Boxo XXII
The quietest work in the group. Pale cream, oyster and buttermilk strokes take the majority of the surface, with cadmium orange, scarlet and a cool patch of cobalt and green admitted only at the corners. Wide areas of unpainted linen are left visible between the marks, so the composition breathes in a way none of its siblings do.

Behind the artwork
A study in restraint made with the same tool as the others: the same loaded stroke, but far fewer of them, with the canvas allowed to answer back.
