Broad curved strokes overlap downward like feathers or roof tiles, each one carrying a gradient across its own width: teal running into chartreuse, violet into ice blue, marigold into vermilion. The paint has body enough to cast its own shadow, and a warm ochre ground reads through in the upper register as the strokes thin out.
