A darker frame in the series, carrying a blue-and-violet geometric passage of artwork instead of the full spectrum. The reduced palette lets the frame shape lead and the pattern sit underneath it as texture, closer to a figured material than a graphic.

Behind the artwork

One of the eyeZoot eyewear studies, in which existing iZoot digital paintings are re-cropped for the narrow, curved real estate of a frame front. Here the test is restraint — how little colour is needed before the artwork stops registering as artwork. Shown as a product design concept, not a finished retail item.
