Vortex V, Variation G

A vast plum-violet sweep arcs across the upper left like weather, and beneath it the surface breaks into a diagonal mosaic of small rectangular tiles — red, cobalt, sap green, gold and near-black — each one set at the same slight angle so the whole field seems to rotate. Ridges of white and pale magenta run along the arc, catching light where the knife lifted away.
