Vortex XII, Variation G

The lightest work of the group. Slender vertical fibres of magenta, cadmium yellow, ochre and cyan stand against wide fields of bare white, splitting and fraying like grain in bleached timber. Reducing the palette to four notes leaves the drawing to do all the work, and the eye follows the fibres upward rather than around.
